The New Jersey EMS Task Force (NJEMSTF) exists for one simple reason: to ensure lifesaving emergency medical resources are ready, coordinated, and deployable when disaster strikes. 

From large-scale emergencies and public health crises to planned events and mutual-aid responses, NJEMSTF brings together highly trained EMS professionals, specialized equipment, and proven incident-management systems to support communities across New Jersey, and beyond.

Our Mission
The NJEMSTF is a statewide, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to:

• Strengthening New Jersey’s emergency medical response capabilities
• Supporting local, county, and state agencies during large-scale incidents
• Enhancing preparedness through planning, training, and coordination
• Ensuring rapid, organized deployment of EMS resources when lives are at stake

We operate at the intersection of preparedness, response, and recovery, filling critical gaps when routine systems are overwhelmed.

What Makes NJEMSTF Different
Unlike traditional EMS agencies, the NJEMSTF is designed specifically for complex, high-impact incidents. Our work includes:

• 🚑 Specialized response assets such as strike teams, medical ambulance buses, and rapid-response units
• 🧭 Advanced incident management and coordination, aligned with NIMS and ICS
• 🤝 Interagency collaboration across EMS, fire, law enforcement, public health, hospitals, and emergency management
• 🎓 Ongoing training and readiness, ensuring personnel are mission-ready before the call comes

Many of our members serve as volunteers or deploy away from home to help others in their greatest moments of need.
