The Basic's Campaign
Today, I am reaching out to share an extraordinary opportunity to support a group of unsung heroes who have been tirelessly serving the people of New Jersey for over 20 years. The New Jersey Emergency Medical Services Task Force (NJEMSTF). Comprised of 250 highly skilled members from every county in the state, our task force represents the diversity and demographics of New Jersey, ensuring that we are well-equipped to address any challenge that comes our way.
Since it’s inception, the NJEMSTF has proven their immense value and unmatched proficiency by executing a wide range of emergency operations across the state. Our achievements speak volumes about our dedication to public service: from evacuating hospitals and nursing homes to assisting in the distribution of over 800,000 vaccine doses, and providing unwavering support to testing and vaccination facilities, we have been at the forefront of countless critical initiatives. Additionally, we have responded to major emergencies such as wildfires, train crashes, weather-related disasters, and have played a crucial role in supporting preplanned, special events at MetLife Stadium and other venues around the state. The NJEMSTF has also taken it upon us to review and update all statewide plans for emergency medical services, ensuring that New Jersey is prepared for any potential hazards.
While the NJEMSTF has been there to guide New Jersey through every crisis, the organization faces our own difficulties as we experience a lack of sustainable funding which threatens our ability to continue our vital work. While we are grateful for the support provided by our partners at the State of New Jersey, some of our most essential needs remain unmet. As a result, we humbly turn to individuals and organizations that care about the well-being of our communities for assistance.
Today, we invite you to become an integral part of our NJEMSTF 2023 Fundraising Campaign, aptly named "The Basics." Our goal is to raise $500,000.00, which will be utilized for critical initiatives, including:
